Phingerin

Before Tomoyuki Kobayashi founded PHINGERIN in 2009 as a minimalist, comfort-first streetwear brand that puts a modern twist on classic silhouettes, he started out making pajamas that reflected his life experiences and individuality. Kobayashi was hospitalized for stomach surgery during his childhood, and making pajamas seemed to be the thing that most represented him. PHINGERIN also offers a button repair service to encourage longer use of the garments and to keep the soul of the brand ever-present in its customers' wardrobes. After several seasons, the Japanese designer decided to expand his catalog with a full range of casual wear, while maintaining his spirit of craftsmanship and attention to detail. Kobayashi's philosophy is reflected in the slogan "Still Plowing For Futureless Future", an indigenous South American way of thinking where the past is in front of you and the future is behind you.
